Just to let everyone know that Daniel is still in Kuwait. I thought he might have left for Iraq in the last few days but I received a phone call today and he is still in Kuwait. He is stationed at Camp Buehring. It is located just 15 miles from the Iraqi border. If you'd like to read a little about it, try this link:

I asked Daniel since he was on such a large base if they had any type of LDS church service. He said yes they did have them and he was able to attend a fast and testimony meeting last week. He said they had about 35 - 40 members there. Some of the members are stationed permenantly at this base and they kind of head things up. He said he did a 24 hour fast(but did have to drink water, being in the desert) and shared his testimony at the meeting. He is looking forward to attending again tomorrow.
I also asked him if he was able to help out at all in the medical clinic of this base. He said a couple of docs have volunteered but there just isn't a great need for their services at this base. Most of the soliders on the base are transient waiting to go to Iraq. They have just been through very thorough medical and dental exams inorder to be deployed. So there's probably not a great need for surgeons among them.
I also told him I'd really like him to post more pictures, but he said the servers they have are painstakenly slow. He said he has lots and lots of pictures but until he can get on a better server he doesn't have the time to upload them. Plus he has to pay for the time he spends on the computers so it's probably not cost effective right now. We may all have to wait until he returns home and have him post a scrapbook then.
